School Photoshoot

I really enjoyed doing this photoshoot. It really opened my eyes to see that there are many wonderful things at this school that I can take photos of. before this assignment I thought this school was a boring place to take pictures, now I see that there are so many possibilities here. I took this picture of krystal where she is by this windmill and mirror board we found in the back f the school. After I took the photo, I photoshopped it b cropping it and changing the contrast and color levels. Overall I am very pleased on how my picture turned out.

Timeline reflection

My group did our timeline on the different types of cameras that came about over time. this project was quite intresting since I got to learn about the orgins of photography and the evolution of our modern day camera. It was cool to see exactly how much the camera has progressed over time, it is truly amazing. Another thing i enjoyed about this project is the actual making of the timeline. My group did a blackboard with chalk drawings of cameras and a chalk timeline. First we looked up all the dates that would be relevant to my groups timeline. Next we cut blackboards and taped them together for a long chalk board. We colored the bored with different colors of chalk then sprayed the board to make sure nothing smudged Finally we pasted on our dates to the chalkboard. I enjoyed working in a group, the work was split up pretty easily so it worked out great. The only hard part where the decorating of the chalkboard since no one in my group is really skilled at drawing but it worked out in the end.

Anything But Trash

This photo shoot had to be one of my favorites. I loved that my group was able to make outfits out of "trash" it was so much fun to b creative and see what we could put together as a team. Although at times this project could be stressful from lack of full participation from everyone in our group, I believe that it all worked out in the end. I think the outfitts turned out wonderful, the only problem was the wind that day made the outfits start to fall apart. The prinitng process was also a bit difficult because the paper kept during out to dark and then it eventually randomly worked, I think it was cause of the chemicals. I know for next time not to use dark makeup in the models eyes and to shoot somewhere that is not directly in the sun to be sure that there is no squinting. This picture shows a fun alternative to regular clothes that are good for the environment, this was more of a fashion photo shoot then anything else, which is fine because that was my groups goal. Overall, this was a great project and I look forward to doing more creative projects like this.

Portriat

This photo was really fun to take because I was able to do a photo shoot of someone I really care about, my sister. This photo shoot was a bit difficult because it was hard to direct my model and make her seem natural and connect with the viewer. Also it as hard to find a nice place with just natural window light. This picture was taken at my sisters dorm at UC Davis. I would say that my biggest problem with this photo shoot was trying to find a background that would not be too distracting or look weird. Other than a background I think it was a pretty good photo shoot it was just a bit hard to make sure it did not  look like a snapshot. This photo symbolizes independence and a strong female who is growing up in the real world. I would like to do more portrait photoshoots in the future with dfferent people and places.
